Sound and Vibrational Healing

  • Himalayan Healing Bowls are among the most ancient forms of natural healing and may be a missing link in health care today. These bowls are also commonly referred to as Tibetan Singing Bowls or Healing Bowls. Although the manufacture and creation of healing bowls is common to various regions of the Asia. Many authorities feel that the bowls used in my sessions are most appropriately referred to as "Himalayan" Healing Bowls.

  • Mainstream medical teaching facilities like Duke University, Cornell Cancer Prevention Center, the University of North Carolina among others have programs that are utilizing sound as an important part of the healing process for patients with conditions which include, but are not limited to: pain, depression, stress disorders, hypertension and cancers.

  • In fact, Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard’s Mind Body Institute who has studied the effects of stress reduction for over 35 years found that stress causes physical and emotional blockages. To some, Dr. Benson is known for his pioneering work on the ‘Relaxation Response’ which is a physical state of deep rest that changes the body’s physical and emotional responses.

  • Modern medicine can now measure and confirms the practice of sound as a means to heal.

  • Himalayan Healing Bowls produce pure sounds that feel good, are pleasing to our brain, engaging our relaxation reflex, deeply relax and gently realign traumatized tissuewhile calming our nervous system and inhibiting the stress or pain response.

  • The endocrine system, hormone production and all of the associated structures and organs affected by that gland balance can then begin to function correctly.

I have studied Himalayan bowl vibrational healing with Master Himalayan Bowl Teacher, Suren Shrestha. Additionally, my background includes more than 25 years experience as a meditation teacher. In 2001 I graduated as a licensed practitioner of massage specializing in the John Barnes style of Myofascial Release and 13 years as a Pranic Healer with other alternative healing arts.
